Help a community recover from a disaster.
Students from two groups joined forces to create a 'Book Of Hope' for Kaiapoi Borough School, which had been affected by an Earthquake in New Zealand. The students created messages of hope and friendship, joined them together with their creative illustrations and posted their book to New Zealand.
The students used a variety of digital, physical and human resources. iPads were used for keeping evidence of their learning and gathering useful information about the locations affected. Edmodo, an online collaboration space, was used for the organization of the task and sharing of resources. The students also sought the support of a variety of teachers, their peers and parent community.
